There are so many FUN and NEW THINGS to discover!

                                       it's amazing how GOOD
                                            fingers taste!

my DAD is the best reader
                                                 in the WORLD!

Hmmmmm... what ELSE do I like?...

as silly as it may SOUND i
have a LOT of fun when mom changes my DIAPER
                                        and makes me LAUGH

probably my MOST FAVORITE things has to be
                                          my JOHNNY JUMP UP!
i like it so much that if MOM would
                                         let me i would SLEEP
                                                    in it.
sometimes i will stick my HANDS out the

it's a WHOLE lot easier than trying to lift

Flower Girl

It's so much fun to watch Sydney do something new everyday.

She's getting to be such a big girl!

                                          We really enjoy her many
FACIAL EXPRESSIONS don't know where she gets
                                                    those from!

Texas and Back

We had a lot of fun in Texas on a vaction.  Sydney got to do a few things she had never done before and had tons of fun doing them.  Okay, so she probably didn't really care, but we had fun taking her to do new things.

She got to go on a picnic in the park.  She also got to ride on a ferry, although she slept through the ride.

It was also her first time at the beach.  It was hard to tell how much she liked it, but she didn't cry.  That must be a good sign right?

What a cute little beach baby she makes, if I do say so myself.  She even wiggled her toes in the sand!

Three months old was so last month!

Yes, Sydney is now four months old and I can't believe how much she keeps changing!  So much has happened since the last time I blogged.  We went on vacation and had a great time.  Those pictures will be for another time, but for now here are some of her four month pictures.

There are plenty more pictures, but I thought I would put up a big family picture until I could put more up.

Crazy Kiddo

I peeked in on Sydney taking a nap the other day...
  this is what I saw.
Silly girl!
She loves to sleep with her head back like that.
Looks pretty uncomfortable to me.

This is her new trick.
She can now push herself up a little bit.

What a feat!
She can actually push herself up more than this,
I guess she's just not a show off.

She loves her daddy!
Okay, so she was really looking at
herself in the mirror,
but he sure makes her smile.
Nothing like good quality "father daughter time"

Happy Easter!

Showing off her Easter dress.

She wasn't a huge fan of being outside cause it was kind of windy
so we had to cover her face until the wind stopped,
and then we lowered our hands to take the picture really fast.

She's definitely a happy little baby.

Two months already!?

It is so hard to believe that Sydney is already two months old! She is getting so big. We had to do a little photo shoot.
She already loves her dad!

I'm not sure who she gets this mischevious grin from. Certainly not her mother! ;)

It's amazing how fast she has changed in just a couple of months!

I have to say, I think she looks a bit like her mom in this picture. Any other opinions?

Bathtime!

Sydney got to take her first bath! She wasn't too enthusiastic about it, but I think it was because she was hungry. We gave her another one on Saturday, and she found it much more enjoyable.

Getting undressed for her bath. She loves to stretch!

This picture is actually her second bath which she enjoyed much more than her first one.
Just hanging out with dad while she is drying off.
"All clean! How do I look?"

Family Pictures

Well, I decided that it was about time we got some family pictures considering Sydney is going to be a month old on Wednesday and the only picture we had with all three of us together was in the hospital. So...here we are. :)

I can't believe how much she has grown already! She now fits in a few newborn clothes.

Our Sweet Little Girl

I thought that the next post I put on here would be of my ever expanding belly, but little Sydney decided she was ready to come see us early. It has been such a wonderful experience already to have her here finally! The day that she came I got up at 8:00am thinking it was going to be just another day. Then my water broke and I was shocked. I called mom first to make sure that was what had happened. When I was sure I called Tim at work to let him know. He was training so his instructor answered the phone. When I told him I was trying to get a hold of Tim Haskell he said, "He's kind of busy right now, can he call you back?" My reply was, "Ummmm, sure, this is his wife and my water just broke." His reaction was pretty funny, "Your water just broke?" In the mean time when Tim heard that he started heading for the door right away, not even waiting to talk to me so the instructor had to tell him I was on the phone still.
When we got to the hospital they put the monitors on me and it didn't take long for them to see that when I would have contractions Sydney's heart rate would drop. For a while it would go right back up again, but one time it stayed down at 60 beats per minute for about 4 minutes. That was when they decided that she just wasn't doing well with labor so they were going to do a c-section before they had to do an emergency one. She was born at 3:23pm weighing 5 lbs. and was 17 1/2 inches long. They found out that the reason she had so much trouble was because the cord was wrapped around her neck two times and was pretty tight. Needless to say, Tim and I are so thankful that she is here safe and sound.
